NeverAtHome

NeverAtHome is a nomadic independent space based in Vienna that activates vacant and architecturally significant buildings for artistic and cultural use. Since 2021, it has developed its program in direct conversation with each site’s history and urban context.

Currently located in the former ORF Funkhaus — a historic radio station — NeverAtHome runs 60 studio spaces for over 80 local artists alongside an exhibition, workshop and events program and an international residency hosting artists, curators and musicians from across Europe.

In November 2024, NeverAtHome took over Austria’s largest and oldest broadcasting center, the former ORF Funkhaus, marking the project’s fourth location since its launch in 2021.

Since then, the Funkhaus has been home to 60 studio spaces for more than 80 visual artists, musicians, and creatives, and continues to operate as an active working and production site through Fall 2026.
